The Scrapbook industry is one of the biggest industries in the country. According to studies, the scrapbook industry earns about $3Billion each year and this figure keeps on growing. For creative people scrapbooking can be a very lucrative home based business that is done from the comfort of your own home. If you are creative and you know how to make use of whatever materials that you have available, this business will not require a large amount of captial to get started. With just your creativity and a few supplies you can ready create good scrapbooks.

Learning the art of scrapbook making:

Starting out a home-based scrapbook making business is fairly easy if you are naturally creative and artistic. Make sure to learn everything you can about scrapbooking, before you start your business. First, learn all the different techniques of scrap book making that you can. Enroll in any classes you can find in your community that will teach you many unique scrap book making ideas. Read as many books and magazines you can find. Practice what you learn and then put into the mix along with your own creative ideas. Remember, scrapbooking is an art so be creative and the more unique your scrap books are the more clients you will ultimately end up having.

Getting supplies:

If you want to engage in the scrapbook making business, you must know where to get good materials. Locate a good supplier of paper and trinkets in your community and make sure that you have plenty of good supplys all the time. If you are planning to do a lot of scrapbooks, better buy your materials in bulk and get some kind of discount. If time is a issue you can shop online for your supplies. There are plenty of web sites to search though and find the supplies you will be needing. Just make sure you are buying your supplies from a reputable online store, so you don’t end up with poor quality supplies or worst.

Marketing your product:

The best way to market your product is to create samples and present them to your friends and family. You can start by asking close family members and friends if they want to have their keepsakes custom made. You may also display your designs during family gatherings and special occasions so that people will have some ideas of what you can do. If your designs are really good, a lot of people will be calling you about their scrapbooks sooner than you can imagine.

If you are a smoker, there is a good chance that you have received tips to quit smoking from all of your friends and family at one point or another. Most of these tips are passed on by people who have quit smoking for a month or two and will be smoking again in time. Here’s a tip that will truly help you stay away from cigarettes for good: try all-natural Nicocure patches.

Instead of using nicotine, like most other products on the market, Nicocure patches employ an effective homeopathic formula to remove your desire to smoke. Natural herbs and extracts like Lobelia Inflata work quickly as expectorants for the lungs and they alter the taste of tobacco products, too. Even if you attempt to smoke while using our patches, the experience will be an unpleasant one, making it easy to drop that smoking habit once and for all.

How to Use Our Patches

To get started on our all-natural quit smoking program, you simply place one of our patches on a relatively hair-free part of your body. You wear the patch for 24 hours, and then you replace it with another. You should find that after only 10 days of wearing the patches, your cravings have almost completely disappeared. However, you should continue with the program for a full 30 days to ensure success.

If you are unhappy with the results you are seeing with our patches after 20 days, you can return the remainder of the product and you will receive a full refund. We are able to give this guarantee because we know our product works. The majority of quit smoking products on the market enjoy a success rate of 20 percent. Our patches are successful 97 percent of the time, and they can help you be successful, too.

For more information, help visit: http://www.primeherbal.com/Nicocure/

Atlanta, GA

Hip pregnancy fashion line MollyAnna has recently announced a new partnership with CARE to help fight the root causes of world poverty.

For every maternity shirt sold on their site, MollyAnna will donate $1 to CARE, a non-profit organization dedicated to poverty-fighting efforts worldwide. According to their website, CARE dedicates more than 90 percent of expended resources to support projects and less than 10 percent toward administrative and fund-raising costs, making it one of the most efficient philanthropic organizations in the world.

CARE’s approach focuses on working with poor women who are empowered to participate in improving education, preventing the spread of HIV, increasing access to water and sanitation, expanding economic opportunity and protecting natural resources. By giving women tools to help themselves and their communities, CARE helps empoverished populations reach self-reliance.

MollyAnna is well-known for humorous and sometimes controversial maternity tees and tanks but has also recently taken a green approach to maternity style. Their soon-to-be launched 100% certified organic Supima cotton line will sport new slogans, new shades and luxuriously soft organic and environmentally sustainable fabric.

The new certified organic line will be available shortly, featuring Mary Hadley, winner of “The New Face of MollyAnna” model search contest which took place in May. MollyAnna’s unconventional model search reached out to real expecting moms for a chance to become the fresh new face of the company.

With a growing reputation as the maternity company with a protective eye on the environment, MollyAnna adds another dimension to its philantropic work in its partnership with CARE.

While MollyAnna is carried by many retailers nationwide, it is important to note that CARE contributions will only be collected from maternity shirt sales generated on the company’s website at www.mollyanna.com.

We humans are funny creatures. We always like to categorize things into different categories so that we can have a better understanding and knowledge of them.

Well, it’s the same for anger. To make things simple, let us just try to categorize anger into 3 main categories:

* Rage
* Resentment
* Indignation

Rage

Rage is a violent, explosive anger of furious intensity.

In fact, learning how to manage such type of anger should be your top priority when you are developing your anger management skills.

Often, falling into rage will cause us to say or do things that are destructive in nature. They range from bringing physical injuries to other people or to others’ self esteem, self confidence etc.

Not to mention, you’ll have a higher tendency to crush any valuable relationships and trust which you have took time and energy to build over the years.

Rage breaks hearts. And broken hearts take a long time to heal, if they ever heal at all.

Therefore, learning to control one’s temper and lowering the intensity of one’s anger is really one very important skill you need to acquire. At least it will save you the miseries of broken relationships and failing trust.

Resentment

Resentment is to feel anger against someone or something and yet unwillingly to express them.

This may another type of anger which you’ll want to look into. Personally, I am also trying to become more aware of such anger which tends to invade into my life.

Unlike what the majority thinks, resentment is as destructive as rage. While rage is an outwards expression of anger, resentment is an inwards type of expression. Both types of anger brings harm and illness to their host, especially resentment.

And if you were thinking that at least resentment doesn’t affect your relationships with others, think again.

Resentment in fact is just a prelude to rage.

To be chronically angry over someone or something is like trying to accumulate gunpowder in you. As you accumulate more and more gunpowder in yourself, the bigger the explosion is expected from you.

And more than often, when you “explode”, the people who suffer are seldom the people or events that you’re truly resenting about.

In other words, you’re directing your anger totally in the wrong direction on wrong people or wrong things.

End results? You’re just hurting innocent parties, usually the people close to you.

Are you guilty of such actions? I sure am.

Indignation

Indignation is what we often refer as righteous anger. Usually, people with this type of anger can easily express their displeasure, disappointment or dislike to the concern parties.

Also, it’ll usually result in more positive end results as the person is less likely to resort to violence to solve the problem.

Of course, I am not trying to say which types of anger are good and which are bad. All exist for a reason. They are there to serve us.

However, that is only possible if we learn how to manage them rather than they manage us. Even the most positive emotion in the world without good management can result in dire situations.

Therefore the question is not how to keep those “negative” emotions at bay. Rather it is how you choose to manage them to suit your own need.

Behavioral therapy for autism is popular as it reportedly has a high chance of success. In this type of therapy, your child quickly learns that only appropriate behavior is rewarded while inappropriate behavior is not encouraged and in fact, they will be ignored. The success rate of behavioral therapies increases if the sessions are started at an early age; that is before your child turns 3 years old.

You would probably find that your autistic child will often challenge your parenting skills by exhibiting extremes in behavior. Extremes of behavior would include such things as temper tantrums, self injurious behavior, aggression and agitation. Essentially, he is dictating to you what he wants and his preferences. If he does not get what he wants, you are made to suffer the consequences. Rather than giving in, you should in fact learn how to teach your child a more appropriate way in which to get what he wants.

This is where a consistent program of behavioral modification comes in. You can learn how to cope with the behavior of your child and also guide him to more socially appropriate behaviors. An autistic child usually has no sense of social awareness. Such a program must consist of 4 components: a structured daily routine; behavioral control; communication; and applied behavioral analysis.

You should design a structured daily routine as your autistic child can have an idea what to expect. It has been found that autistic children do not usually cope well with inconsistency or change. Therefore, sticking to a daily routine is important as much as possible.

The next thing that a parent must learn is how to control tantrums and other such behavioral issues. In doing so there are 3 factors to bear in mind:

1. Deal with those behaviors that are dangerous to the child or those around him first. You would need to stop these behaviors with firm words and actions. Try not to show your child any anger while doing this though.

2. You need to teach your autistic child how to sit down as it may not be easy for him to do so naturally. The best way in which to do this is to reward appropriate sitting behavior while either ignoring or giving a negative consequence for inappropriate sitting behavior.

3. Autistic children tend to have bizarre, stereotypical, repetitive behaviors. The most obvious of these are finger flapping and rocking. These can be very distracting and thus a firm command to stop is suggested for use. Next direct your child to another activity that will not allow him to continue these behaviors.

It is crucial that you talk to your child regularly. In your communication, be both simple and direct. You need to use short, clear sentences without going into explanations or using too many words. Shorten your instructions to manageable tasks. You want to avoid confusing him.

Applied behavioral analysis (ABA) is a form of behavioral therapy that is well recognized for its success rate of 47 percent. ABA involves breaking down tasks into individual components. Then, whenever a child successfully completes each step of the task he should be rewarded. However, it is important to note that ABA is not the only behavioral approach to treating autism nor is it a cure for autism. Still, it is a good option to consider in terms of helping your autistic child.

An awareness that there can be health risks makes eating disorder prevention more possible. At the start, you may not realize that when you become pro Ana, you would be creating harm to your body. With binge eating, you do not realize that it is not just a matter of becoming fat.

There are serious health consequences to having an eating disorder. An eating disorder is a condition that you should not simply dismiss as something that is not serious. If you do not seek early treatment, it can affect your entire self-image but also cause a deteoriation to the functioning of your organs. In the worst case scenario, eating disorders can cause complications that are life threatening.

You need to consult your doctor right away if you suspect that you are suffering from an eating disorder. Know the facts so that you can work towards eating disorder prevention. Here are some of the most common health consequences that you expose to with an eating disorder:

1. Anorexia. In your quest to being thin, you deny your body of important food and nutrients. When you stop eating, your body grows weak and its natural processes slow down as it tries to conserve energy. You will grow weak and lose muscle and bone density. If you allow this to continue over an extended period of time, you may end up with several serious health complications.

Your heart rate also starts to slow down and you suffer from low blood pressure. You may also get kidney failure if your body is dehydrated long enough.

Physically, you would see dry hair, dull skin, and hair loss. You may also start to grow fine hair over your entire body because your body is trying to maintain a steady temperature. You also become easily fatigued, prone to fainting and feel generally weak all over.

2. Bulimia. If you are bulimic, then you are engaging in a cycle of binging and purging. This cycle is unhealthy. Your binging and purging sessions will lead to chemical and electrolyte imbalances. This can have vast consequences on the health of your heart and other vital organs.

You can get irregular heartbeats and heart failure because of imbalances. Since you are suffering from dehydration and the loss of potassium and sodium, you can end up with gastric rupture and other serious digestive problems.

You may also rupture your esophagus because of your repeated vomiting. You will also have dental problems including serious tooth decay because of the stomach acids that you are frequently vomiting.

With poor digestion, you can also suffer from irregular bowel movements and constipation. Bowel difficulty can affect other aspects of your health when you are unable to clear waste material from your body properly.

3. Binge Eating. If you are a binge eater, then you would find it difficult to control your portion size and the type of food you eat. You have no awareness that you should stop eating when it is time to do so and often eat beyond your requirements. Although you often feel sick from over eating afterwards, you simply find it hard to stop your habits.

The problem also lies when you eat large amounts of unhealthy foods such as fast foods. Such foods are toxic to your body. They put you at risk of high cholesterol, high blood pressure, clinical obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and gallbladder disease. You also end up feeling depressed. Overall, the state of your health and well being drops drastically.

It’s not possible to completely prevent injuries in football. But there are some tips you can use to minimize injury to your child when they play this dangerous sport.

Before allowing your child to play the sport of football they should receive a full medical checkup, specifically inform the doctor they are going to need a physical to play a sport. This way the doctor can check for joint flexibility and heart health. After your child passes his physical you can then investigate the program and learn about any safety measures you can take.

A great way to avoid any injury while playing a sport is to maintain conditioning. That means your child needs to commit to practicing good nutrition habits and exercise. For optimal health when playing a sport year round conditioning is the best bet. At minimum your child should participate in a conditioning program six weeks before regular practices are scheduled to begin.

It’s important to wear protective equipment in a contact sport like football is a must. Your child should wear a mouth guard to prevent dental injuries. It also can protect against sport injuries that typically occur to the jaw and some head injuries. Make sure your child’s protective equipment fits properly!

No matter what sport you allow your child to participate in it’s a good idea to prepare for the worst and expect the best. It’s a good idea to provide the coach or trainer a health care authorization letter that allows your child to be treated and transported if an emergency occurs while playing a sport.

Whatever sport you allow your child to play you need to do your homework! Remember to keep open lines of communication between you, the coaches, trainers and your child’s doctor. Participating in a sport is a great way to increase your child’s social skills. Just follow these tips to keep safe.

In a recent survey, more than half of the people with Psoriasis said that the affect to their self-confidence was harder to handle than even the disease itself. Often psoriasis sufferer’s experience fear, anger or hopelessness but treatments can properly address some of the side effects and help reduce the emotional impact. There is clear and unquestioned scientific evidence that stress triggers or aggravates psoriasis in many people. Therefore practices that offer stress reduction and relaxation can help people with psoriasis have a better sense of being in control. These techniques are not intended as a replacement for traditional approaches but seem to work best when used as a supplement.

Aromatherapy:

One of the most popular branches of alternative medicine, the word is derived from aroma meaning smell and therapy indicating healing.

Essential Oils form the basis of aromatherapy. Extracted from plants they are highly concentrated and should not be used directly but typically blended together. To reduce the potency, dilute them by mixing them with carrier oils. Oils affect your mood. Entering through the olfactory system and affecting the nervous system, oils improve mood, relax or energize us helping to alleviate stress. They also speed healing. Essential oils have cosmetic properties and are used in skin and hair care products. Many have anti-viral, antifungal and antiseptic properties. They can be inhaled, massaged onto the body, added to bath or shower or sprayed into the air.

Not all products labeled “aromatherapy” are pure and natural. Buyers must look at the ingredients within a product to ensure that the product does not contain fragrance oils or impure components. Beware of products that do not list their ingredients.

Massage:

After years as an alternative approach to relaxation, the benefits of massage are gaining increased acceptance by the medical community. Massage professionals and health care providers use it to relieve muscle tension, reduce stress and induce relaxation, also proven to relieve and manage chronic and acute pain. Psoriatic arthritis sufferers may find that massage helps relieve their joint pain. There are many types including deep tissue massage, reflexology, Swedish massage, shiatsu and acupressure. Discuss which approach will work best for you. It may also be helpful to tell the receptionist that you have psoriasis.

Meditation:

No longer just an Eastern philosophy meditation is the practice of focusing the mind continuously on one thought, phrase or prayer for a period of time. Included among the many changes due to meditation are improvement in immunity, reductions in heart rate, blood pressure, blood flow to skeletal muscles, oxygen consumption, respiratory rate, muscle tension and perspiration. One study examined the use of meditation-based relaxation tapes in psoriasis patients undergoing ultraviolet light (UV) treatments and found that some patients who listened cleared faster, even twice as fast.

Yoga:

Yoga is an applied science of the mind and body, coming from the Hindu scriptures. It does not create health; rather, it creates an internal environment that allows the individual to come to his own state of dynamic balance, or health. Yoga teaches that a healthy person is a harmoniously integrated unit of body, mind and spirit. Good health requires a simple, natural diet, exercise in fresh air, a serene and untroubled mind and awareness. It involves controlled breathing, stretching, strengthening exercises, and meditation. It is thought to promote physical, mental and spiritual well-being. All ages and physical conditions can practice yoga. The many different types are all based on the basic idea of uniting mind and body. When the body is controlled through yoga’s careful positions, muscles relax and circulation improves releasing tension and stress.

Additional Therapies include: Art therapy, Electromagnetic Therapies, Guided Imagery, Progressive Relaxation, Reflexology, Spiritual Practices, Tai Chi or Visualization. Any of these help to refocus your thinking away from a preoccupation with your condition. The consequent lack of stress can offer benefits in the form of reduced symptoms.

Jeannie Neill has undertaken a lot of research regarding psoriasis and as well as being the author of several articles concerning psoriasis, has also developed the Psoriasis Treatment website.

Looking for the perfect adult acne remedy? Your search is over! Ok, let’s face it: acne is bad enough, but it’s a lot worse when you’re an adult because while people are “used to it” with teenagers, it’s just not as common amongst adults. It’s much harder to cope after the teen years, too, because you have to actually go to work with people with clear skin and be professional and confident when you might not really be. To be honest, though, there is no magical adult acne remedy that works for everyone, is fast, cheap and has no side effects. However, by improving all the little skin care habits you have, you will dramatically improve your skin and boost your confidence!

Here are some of the primary reasons adults have acne problems:

1) Stress Stress has been proven to have a negative impact on the immune system, and this affects any bodily issues, including acne. This just makes the stressful situations worse, but there’s a way around all this. Reducing stress can be a tough topic, but will work as an excellent adult acne remedy and will dramatically improve your mental and physical health, too!

2) Hormones Hormone imbalance is more common in woman, but can affect men’s skin as well. This problem is terrible, because it can affect a woman’s skin from their early twenties through menopause. However, there are solutions to this as well, including the following proven adult acne remedy:

3) Vitamins Many studies have shown that acne can be related to a vitamin-deficiency in the body. By adding Vitamin A, B5, C, D and/or E supplements to your diet, you can greatly reduce the hormonal and vitamin imbalances that result in frequent outbreaks. While this isn’t typically its own adult acne remedy, this will serve to prevent future breakouts in many people, and can be a great weapon to add to your acne-fighting arsenal.

4) Diet While it has been proven that diet does not have the direct impact experts once thought, there is still a great way to reduce your acne by changing your diet, all the while improving your overall health. When you eat refined sugars and carbohydrates, caffeine and fatty foods, your digestive system has trouble breaking them down. The wastes from these foods build up in your digestive system, and cause skin problems from within. On the other side of things, there are good foods that help your cause like apples, grapes, vegetables and green tea. Adjusting diet has been brushed aside as an effective adult acne remedy as of late, but it can still have incredible effects when done right.

5) General Care This is obviously a broad category, but it breaks down like this: Oil, Sun, Washing, Extras.

- Oil needs to be a part of your skin, but in the right amounts. Moisturize if your skin is dry (with Oil-free lotion) and avoid oily foods and touching your face if your skin is oily.

- As for the Sun, about 10-15 minutes of direct sunlight per day is universally accepted as good for you. However, if you plan on being outside longer than this, apply oil-free SPF 15+ lotion before going out.

- Washing is simple: rinse with lukewarm water, scrub lightly in circular motions, rinse with cool water. As for the extras: use a facial mask occasionally, exfoliate and maybe even use a facial peel or microdermabrasion.

All of these adult acne remedies are pretty simple by themselves, but the key is acting on all of them at once. Any people swear by herbal remedies as well. The best all-natural remedies for adult acne are water, green tea, vitamin supplements, castor oil, red clove, aloe vera and tea tree oil. By developing the habits that will help, and eliminating the habits that hurt one at a time, you’ll greatly improve not only your skin, but your life!
